Uwe R. Borchert studied industrial engineering and manufacturing technology at the Technical University of Munich with a focus on materials engineering. The graduate engineer (Univ.) is admitted to practice as a patent attorney before the German and European Patent Offices and as a European Trademark and Design Attorney before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and is active in patent and trademark matters in grant and registration proceedings, opposition proceedings, infringement litigation and license agreements. He is furthermore an admitted representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

With his industrial experience in the fields of materials and materials handling technology as well as design and production engineering, Uwe R. Borchert has specialized as a patent attorney in the particular fields of mechanical engineering, in particular materials and materials handling technology, medical device technology, gaming machine construction, telecommunications technology, nanotechnology, software protection, construction machines and their accessories, sports products and vehicle safety engineering.

Markus J. Kaiser has industrial experience in the fields of vehicle construction, satellite technology, satellite communication, tethered rope systems, aerospace technology and software development. His special expertise as a patent attorney lies in the technical fields of aerospace technology, structural mechanics, telecommunications technology, control systems, air conditioning technology and aerodynamics.

Florian Klettner studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University in Munich with the specializations mechatronics and microsystems technology. The graduate engineer (Univ.)  is admitted to practice as a patent attorney before the German and European Patent Offices and as a European Trademark and Design Attorney before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and is active in patent and trademark matters in grant and registration proceedings, opposition proceedings, infringement litigation and license agreements.

He worked in industrial software development and has practical knowledge in the areas of database programming and front-end of database applications. He has experience in the development of microsystems and semiconductors as well as in the corresponding measurement and analysis processes and can demonstrate knowledge in the application of measurement and automation technology. 

Dr. Andrea Pautsch studied chemistry at the Technical University of Clausthal. She completed her studies with a doctorate in engineering, whereby she wrote her dissertation at the Institute for Petroleum and Natural Gas Research Clausthal.

As a registered patent attorney at the German Patent and Trademark Office and as a European Trademark and Design Attorney before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Dr. Andrea Pautsch is active in patent, trademark and design matters, in particular in grant and registration proceedings as well as in infringement matters.

Through her activities in the petroleum, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries as well as through her work as a registered patent attorney, Dr. Andrea Pautsch has experience in the field of industrial chemistry, in particular in the fields of polymers, coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and composite materials, as well as in the fields of chemical technology, pharmaceutical and cosmetic chemistry.

Dr. Sonja Schwarzer studied chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Cape Town. She completed her PhD in biochemistry with a focus on molecular biology, followed by a postdoctoral period at the University of Stellenbosch. Dr. Sonja Schwarzer then moved to Europe and worked for a global biotechnology company with European headquarters in the UK in the field of high-tech laboratory equipment for molecular diagnostics. She has experience in the regulation of gene expression.

After further training in the patent system, Dr. Sonja Schwarzer has profound knowledge in national and European patent law and has been working as a patent professional ever since. Within the scope of industrial property protection, she formulates patent applications, defends patent applications in the examination procedure or appeal or opposition, carries out patent searches and examines new technical developments for protectability.

Felix Borchert studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University in Munich. His focus in the Master's programme was the field of "Bioengineering & Life Science". The graduate engineer (TUM) is a patent attorney candidate. The drafting of patent, utility model, trade mark and design applications and assisting clients in examination proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office are among his core areas of practice. Furthermore, he assists in nullity, cancellation and infringement proceedings.

He has worked in plant engineering for mixing and separation systems for biopharmaceutical applications and has practical knowledge in the fields of validation and qualification in plant engineering. He brings experience in the areas of measurement system and sensor technology as well as in product development in the laboratory medical field.
